Are you using a salt chlorine generator to sanitize your pool?
When you use a salt chlorine generator for pool water sanitation, you must add sodium chloride (salt) to the water. The chlorine used to sanitize the water is produced through electrolysis and salt water. The generator transfers the chloride gas produced through electrolysis.
The salt range for most pools with salt water chlorine generators is around 2500 to 4500 ppm, which is a mild saline solution. Human tears salt concentration is around 9,000ppm. The concentration for the ocean is 35,000ppm. You can taste the slight salinity in your tears, meaning you will slightly taste the salinity in salt pools. Now when your salt level range is on the higher side in your pool water, you are going to have a stronger salty taste.
